IT security
The term IT security refers to the security of technical systems used in information and communication technology. Nowadays, many previously paper-based work processes are carried out electronically, making the confidentiality, availability and integrity of data increasingly essential for work processes. Dangers are not only posed by hacker attacks or malware, but often also by hardware damage and system errors. For these reasons, the University of Würzburg attaches great importance to IT security.
IT security concept
In 2022, the university management published an IT security concept that defines responsibilities, accountability, and collaboration within the university-wide IT security process.
