WueTeams

Please note:
The Vibe product is no longer being developed by its current manufacturer, OpenText, and will reach end-of-life in early 2027. A complete migration is not expected to be possible, so you should anticipate that this will involve a significant amount of work.

However, new projects should be set up in bwSync&Share or BayernCollab from the outset to avoid a time-consuming migration later on.

For IT security reasons, the following restrictions apply (effective from 11 February/23 March 2026):

 ❯  WueTeams is now only accessible within the university network: either via LAN or via VPN to the university network.
❯  Before logging in to WueTeams, you must log in via WueLogin.
❯  Vibe Edit-In-Place has been discontinued: files can no longer be opened and edited directly in the browser, but must be downloaded and then uploaded again.
❯  The desktop client is no longer available.
❯  WueTeams calendars can no longer be subscribed to.

WueTeams: Team collaboration with "Vibe"

The data centre operates the"Micro Focus Vibe" software, which is designed for virtual team collaboration.
In addition, WueTeams is also a suitable platform for an access-protected intranet area for your organisation.

Here is an overview of all Vibe features at Novell. The Novell "Vibe onPrem" resources can also help you, especially the Open Videos and the instructions at Novell.

Activation

University employees can generally use WueTeams without explicit authorisation. Only if the registration fails, please activate your account afterwards.

All other users (students, guests, functional accounts) must be activated once:

  • log in to the user portal with your user name
  • select Available applications
  • click on [View] for the request WueTeams: Activation
  • Activate Activate WueTeams?
  • click on [Submit]

External co-operation partners without a JMU account can be activated for WueTeams by university employees. Please contact the IT support.

Support

  • We recommend the local Vibe introduction as a WueTeams introduction. Activation required.
  • We offer training courses on WueTeams in our course programme at irregular intervals.
