Cisco Networking Academy

The data centre is a certified Cisco Networking Academy and offers a course leading to a

certificate examination
for the
Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)

exam.

The 3-semester course is aimed at students and employees with an interest in network technology. The course takes place during the semester. The exercises consist mainly of practical exercises with Cisco routers and switches.

The course is free of charge for students of the University of Würzburg. The course can be credited with a total of 10 ECTS points (semester 2 module 10-I=AKI, semester 3 module 10-I=AKIT) in the Master's degree programme in Computer Science.

Upon successful completion of each semester, participants receive a certificate from Cisco. However, if interested, an optional overall Cisco certificate must be obtained at an external certification centre (e.g. Bechtle Würzburg). The examination fees at a certification centre can be reduced by 50% on successful completion of the course at the Networking Academy and may have to be paid by the participants themselves.

The maximum number of participants is 20 students and places will be allocated according to the order of registration.
