Data leak

There are more and more reports of companies falling victim to hacker attacks and the stolen credentials of their users being published on the Internet.

You can use one of these online portals to check whether you have been affected by data theft and whether your university identity has appeared on the Internet. Depending on how up-to-date they are, the two portals may produce different results.

If your university e-mail address appears in a data leak, change the password of your JMU account. Please change your password via the user portal.

Further safety information

Please find out about security measures - in particular, what you need to bear in mind when registering on external university portals with your university e-mail address.
